Flash Organisation Ltd: Promotion to Assistant Ownership

Flash Organisation Ltd has got a promotion to announce. The person promoted, to assistant ownership, is Zahid Malik and Nik Allen, the Managing Director of Flash Organisation is proud to make this promotion.

Zahid Malik, born in Essex, first worked as a Police Officer for 11 years; it was then that he joined Nik Allen's company in Romford. Malik says about his beginning in direct marketing, “I remember very well my first day in the business. I couldn’t help asking myself whether at my age I should be knocking on doors. But I had such a fantastic Observation Day that I decided to come back and give it a go”.


Zahid proved himself a good sales person, made much success and earned much money; he even inspired many others. But his family was not that happy. “Both my parents were born in Pakistan. They were not quite happy about my choice to join the Direct Sales Industry. I don’t blame them. We just have completely different mentalities. Where they think “commission-based salary”, I think “unlimited earning potential”, he said.


Anyway, Zahid went on and on and worked hard; success came seeking him every time and now the promotion to Assistant Ownership.
 He had hit Sales Champion in the division two years in a row: “I just couldn’t believe it! Before joining this business, I couldn’t even sell one packetof crisps!” he laughs.

For him, the real challenge was not how to sell but to learn how to coach FRs and build a strong team around him: “As we all know, the best footballer player doesn’t really necessarily become a great coach. I was really good at sales, but I wasn’t an easy example to follow. When I changed that and made sure that my team could easily copy me, things really started to move forward”.


Zahid has already set his goals for the next few years: he wants to open two Marketing Companies in his first year of Ownership and become a Vice-President before his 48th birthday. On a more personal level, he wants to make his family mortgage-free, buy a big family house and open a Cricket Academy in Pakistan.

Flash Organisation has bestowed utmost trust in him and knows that he will accomplish all this and much more, in the months and years to come.

Zahid Malik has some tips for others too; here they are:
  • If you want to succeed in this business, don’t just think about your own goals. Think about what your team wants and needs
  •  If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up nowhere
  •  Plan, plan, plan. If you don’t plan, you can’t win. Stick to proverb: “Fail to plan = plan to fail”
  •  Spend as much time with your team as you can. Get to know them on both a professional and personal level.
  •  Have a “Never say die” attitude
